Store and forward echo
The images are taken either in Movie - Mpeg or in Jpeg - static and these images are stored in the remote PC thru the frame grabber card and attached to the patient record - EMR details and the specialist will open these in Mpeg or Jpeg format.
ECHO thru PACS - Store & Forward
The images from the Echo machine are in DICOM format from the Echo Machine. The images are uploaded thru the image gateway to the server and stored in the server - The specialist will open using DICOM viewer in DICOM format.
